The City of Richmond Hill is asking for your feedback on how electric vehicle and micromobility charge stations should be implemented and where they should be located at a public meeting Feb. 4.
You are invited to participate in the discussion and learn more about the city's EV charging strategy Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bayview Hill Community Centre, 114 Spadina Rd.
The strategy will inform the city’s approach to providing electric vehicle and micromobility charge stations at city-owned facilities, such as municipal buildings, parks, community centres, libraries, and neighbourhood street parking. According to a city news release, the strategy will help define the role the city will play in supporting the shift to electric mobility, with a particular emphasis on outlining a plan for EV and micromobility charge stations. The development of a public charge station network aims to reduce emissions associated with the personal vehicle, the most prominent form of travel in Richmond Hill today.
