We wanted to share an important GO Transit service update for Barrie line customers:

From Saturday, October 12 until end of day Monday, October 14, train service between Maple GO and Allandale Waterfront GO stations will be temporarily suspended. Regularly scheduled trips will continue to operate on the Barrie line between Union Station and Maple GO.

For customers travelling beyond Maple GO, replacement GO buses will run to Barrie Bus Terminal (Routes 65M, 68K, 68L, 65G). Buses are also available for customers travelling southbound to Union Station from stations beyond Maple GO.

Additional GO bus trips will be available between Highway 407 terminal and Aurora GO.

King City GO Station:

Please also note that on Tuesday, October 15, GO trains will bypass King City GO until mid-afternoon, with southbound train service resuming at 2:11 p.m. and northbound service resuming at 2:39 p.m.

For more information about service adjustments and alternate route options, click HERE.

Riders can transfer for free with One Fare between GO Transit and TTC. Customers are encouraged to use gotransit.com or triplinx.ca to plan their trips. You can also check the GO Transit Service Updates page for real-time details.

Please reach out to the Metrolinx Media Relations team if you have any questions.

Why are we doing this?

Metrolinx is installing and maintaining flood relief culverts in the area. Construction work will also take place for the Maple GO station renovation and Barrie track expansion.

This work can only be done when service is modified. Metrolinx coordinates work on multiple projects to minimize impacts to customers wherever possible.
