A new Farmboy location is opening in Aurora Jan. 19.

Farm Boy is opening its newest location in Aurora at Highway 404, with doors opening for the first time next Thursday.

The grocery store at 10 Goulding Ave., at the south end of Aurora off Wellington Street East, is the 46th Farm Boy to open, offering an assortment of fruit and vegetables, meats and more than 1,500 private-label items.

“We have received so much support from our GTA customers and are excited to open a new location in Aurora,” Farm Boy president and general manager Shawn Linton said in a news release.

The new 28,200-square-foot store will feature a fresh stir fry station, as well as a salad and hot bar. The grocery store also has an “extensive” grab-and-go selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings.

The store will have an opening ceremony at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan 19, with the first 100 customers to receive a bag of Farm Boy Himalayan pink salt popcorn to celebrate National Popcorn Day.

That will be followed by an official grand opening celebration Saturday, Jan. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with food samplers available and local suppliers in attendance.

“Those visiting the new store can enjoy the same fresh market experience Ontarians have come to know with a wide variety of fresh and unique Farm Boy products, along with best-in-class customer service,’ Linton said.

Farm Boy Aurora is located beside the newly opened HomeSense and Winners superstore that opened last November.

The grocery chain opened a location in Newmarket in September 2020.
