Whisky connoisseurs and those who just enjoy a wee dram may want to put the Better with Age tasting and dinner on their calendar.

CHATS-Community & Home Assistance to Seniors is holding its 11th annual fundraiser Feb. 27 at Stonehaven Banquet Hall in Aurora.

Local whisky sommelier Keith Scott and the Aurora Whisky Society will lead the event that begins at 6 p.m. and includes a cocktail reception, sit-down meal prepared by Chef Roger Wakileh, and whisky learning opportunities.

“The Aurora Whisky Society and I are so proud to be in partnership with CHATS, helping seniors in our community,” Scott said in a news release.

“CHATS is thrilled to once again partner with Keith and the Aurora Whisky Society. Social events demonstrate how important it is to be engaged and active, learning something new, and being connected to your community,“ said Christina Bisanz, CEO of CHATS. “Through activities like this, CHATS is able to raise funds to help us deliver and expand programs, which keep our clients socially connected with friends, family and their community, helping them to live well and improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.”

CHATS is a not-for-profit organization, advocating for and delivering person-centred home and community services to older adults and caregivers living in York Region and South Simcoe.
