Moviegoers across Canada can enjoy a cheap night out with the arrival of $5 movie tickets and popcorn at Cineplex theatres on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 14.
Canadians looking to get out on the town, while staying out of the cold, will soon be able to score especially discounted general admission movie tickets and small bags of popcorn for $5 each, plus tax.
The promotion continues every Tuesday Jan. 14 to Feb. 11.
Tuesday tickets purchased online will cost $6.50, which includes the addition of a $1.50 online booking fee.
Premium Cineplex services like UltraAVX will also be discounted under the promotion, though Cineplex said these options will require the payment of an applicable surcharge.
In a news release announcing the deal on Wednesday, Cineplex said Scene+ members will continue to receive an additional 10 per cent off the ticket price for their Tuesday ticket purchase.
This is the second iteration of Cineplex's $5 movie and popcorn deal, as the company last year enticed Canadians with the same discount.
Movie tickets are already discounted at Cineplex theatres on Tuesdays, though not as steeply as $5.
Cineplex also announced $3.99 tickets to watch "family favourite" movies on Saturday. At participating locations, moviegoers can watch films like Despicable Me 4 for $3.99, plus tax.
