The Aurora Sports Hall of Fame is hosting its eleventh annual induction celebration for its class of 2024 inductees at Aurora Town Square on Nov. 7.
The 2024 inductees are Olympic swimmer and medallist Marcel Gery, Jamaican bobsled Olympian Milton Hart, seasoned rugby coach Sandy Townsend and table tennis world champion Grace Wong.
The event will be held in the new facility’s performance hall, which opened on Sept. 21.
“Hosting our annual induction celebration at Aurora Town Square is truly fitting,” Javed S. Khan, president and chair of the Aurora Sports Hall of Fame, said in a news release. “This new space has been hailed as a place where people will meet, engage, celebrate, and gather, making it the perfect venue for welcoming our inductees.”
Tickets are on sale online for the induction ceremony, with regular tickets costing $135.
The induction ceremony is on Nov. 7 from 5:30 to 11 p.m. at Aurora Town Square, located at 50 Victoria St.
