Participants raised more than $373,000 at the annual 360°kids Experience March 6.

More than 224 participants in York Region braved a cold winter night to raise awareness about homelessness and raise $373,000 to help address it.

Youth shelter charity 360°kids raised the funding March 6 as part of its annual 360°kids Experience event, with participants spending a night in the cold to better understand homelessness, with real-life simulations on offer.

"This event is more than just a fundraiser — it’s a wake-up call to the realities of youth homelessness," Clovis Grant, CEO of 360°kids said in a post-event news release. "Every dollar raised goes directly toward providing housing, support services, and opportunities for young people in our community."

Held in Stouffville, the experience features an in-person event, a corporate challenge and virtual participation option. Participants walk through the streets of the GTA to learn more about the experience of homelessness. For the corporate challenge, teams of businesses are immersed in a six-hour experience at York Regional Police Community Safety Village in Stouffville.

Dignitaries also participated, including police Supt. Ryan Hogan and Richmond Hill Mayor David West.

The organization continues to accept donations for the event at 360kids.ca/360experience2025.

“This event wouldn’t be possible without our amazing staff, volunteers, sponsors, board members, youth ambassadors, and inspiring youth speakers—your dedication and passion drive real change,” the organization said on social media. “Together, we are making a difference.”
