To the residents of Newmarket-Aurora,
It was an honour to run as your provincial Liberal candidate in the last election, representing the values and aspirations of this remarkable community. Although the outcome was not what we had hoped for, I remain deeply grateful for the support, trust, and encouragement I received from so many of you. Our riding is one of the most vibrant and promising in Ontario, and I want nothing but the very best for all its residents.
That’s why I am thrilled to announce my full support for Chris Ballard as the next provincial Liberal candidate for Newmarket-Aurora. Chris is not just a seasoned public servant; he is someone who embodies the values, determination, and leadership this community needs.
Having served as a cabinet minister, Chris has a track record of getting results. As minister of Housing and later as minister of the Environment and Climate Change, he tackled complex challenges head-on, from affordable housing to environmental sustainability. These are the kinds of issues that matter deeply to families here in Newmarket-Aurora, and Chris has the experience and know-how to deliver.
Our community faces growing demands — better infrastructure, smarter urban planning, accessible health care, and robust mental health supports. These priorities can’t wait, and Chris has the vision, connections, and grit to make them a reality. His approachability, intelligence, and deep commitment to public service make him uniquely qualified to represent us at Queen’s Park.
