An employee at the Metro on Yonge Street in Newmarket has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 this week.
The employee at 16640 Yonge, at Mulock Drive, received the test results March 7, five days following the last day of work.
Also on March 7, an employee at the Food Basics on Major Mackenzie Drive in Richmond Hill was confirmed positive, four days after the last day worked.
Other COVID-19 cases confirmed at York Region grocery stores this week include three employees at Rob's No Frills on Yonge Street in Oak Ridges. The last days worked are March 1, 3 and 4.
