Baby girl in Aurora among York Region's 4 new COVID-19 cases (Update)

UPDATE, 5:30 p.m., March 20: Three additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Markham, boosting York Region's total to 34.

A woman aged in her 60s and a man aged in his 30s are in self-isolation; the cause of transmission is under investigation.

The only details provided for the third case is that it is a woman in her 70s.

A baby girl in Aurora, and the first confirmed case in Stouffville, are among four additional cases of COVID-19 being reported by York Region public health, bumping the region's total number of cases to 31 as of March 20.

The Aurora baby, whose age is indicated as under one, is in self-isolation, and the transmission is travel-related.

A woman in her 50s in East Gwillimbury, also in self-isolation, is the additional travel-related case reported today.

Two further cases currently under investigation are women in their 40s, one in Stouffville and one in Vaughan.

Of the 31 cases in York Region, 10 cases are in Vaughan, seven in Richmond Hill, seven in Markham, two in Newmarket, two in East Gwillimbury, two in Aurora and one in Stouffville.
