UPDATE: Newmarket man charged in backyard fence collision

A 49-year-old faces a careless driving charge in the collision that occurred yesterday morning, York Regional Police say

Update 1:42 p.m. on July 15

A 49-year-old Newmarket man is charged with careless driving in a July 14 single-vehicle collision with a backyard fence on Mulock Drive, York Regional Police said.

"Witnesses reported that the male was initially on the south side of Mulock, travelling eastbound when he crossed the westbound lanes of traffic," Sgt. Andy Pattenden said. "He then went up on the side of the road, knocked over two trees before crashing into the wooden fence. The driver was not injured."

Update at 2:38 p.m.

There were no injuries in today's early morning collision in which an SUV left the road and went through a backyard fence on Mulock Drive in Newmarket, York Regional Police said.

"Apparently, the driver had a medical issue," Sgt. Andy Pattenden said.

York Regional Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision in which an SUV left the road and hit a backyard fence on Mulock Drive in Newmarket this morning.

Emergency services were on the scene of the collision near the intersection of College Manor Drive, across from the Magna Centre, shortly after 9 a.m., however, there did not appear to be any injuries.
