All COVID-19 vaccine clinics operated by York Region Public Health are closed today due to the snowstorm.

With the inclement weather, clinics, including the one at the Newmarket Community Centre on Doug Duncan Drive have been closed for the remainder of the day on Monday, Jan. 17, according to Patrick Casey, York Region director of corporate communications.

The partner-led clinic at Cornell Community Centre in Markham is also closed, however, the clinic at Ray Twinney Recreation Complex in Newmarket, run by the Southlake Community Ontario Health Team, remains open.

Anyone who had an appointment today at one of the closed clinics will receive an email notification about the closure. York is working to contact those who did not register with an email address.

Individuals with an appointment for a vaccination today will have to re-book their appointments. This can be done by visiting York Region's website, clicking the re-schedule link in the original appointment confirmation email, or phoning Access York at at 1-877-464-9675.
