Your story can be a part of York Region's pandemic archives

York Region is collecting pieces and documents to contribute to help future generations understand COVID-19

York Region is seeking your stories of the COVID-19 pandemic for it archives to help future generations understand its far-ranging impacts.

"There have been a number of encouraging signs, recovery stories and heartfelt challenges in York Region. And we want to hear about them," York Region corporate communications advisor Stephanie Crowley said in an email.

To contribute, keep a journal (paper or digital), make an audio or video recording, write a poem, take photos, or create a scrapbook or a diary with dates to capture your thoughts and feelings.

Digital copies and photos of your memorabilia can be submitted if you prefer not to part with your items.

Contact [email protected] if you are interested in donating your records.

Here’s a journal template you can use as inspiration to get you started.
