Gary passed away peacefully at his residence in Bradford Ontario on March 17, 2024 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Audrey (nee Ellis).

He is lovingly remembered by daughters Coreen (Jacques) and Kim. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Sara, Melissa (Matt), Olivia, Alex and by his great granddaughters Addy and Camille.

Gary was born in Toronto and grew up in various communities throughout Southern and Southwestern Ontario. Gary would begin his apprenticeship with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in 1954. He was a member of The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 3233, later known as Local 27, for over 65 years. Gary took great pride in his trade and the work he completed. There are many landmark buildings of today in Toronto and York Region that Gary was employed at. Each having a detailed story that went along with the history of the job. In the early 1960's, Gary and his wife, Audrey took on the task of building their family home in Queensville. They remained a part of the Queensville community for many years.
Aside from carpentry, Gary enjoyed antique and classic cars. He was always tinkering with something in the shed while his favourite country songs played on an eight-track tape in the background. Music was a big part of Gary's life. He was always singing or humming a song while he worked. Gary was very happy when he joined the York Regional Police Male Chorus in 2003.

Please join us in remembering Gary, by dropping in anytime between 1 pm - 4 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Sharon Temperance Hall, 18974 Leslie St, Sharon, Ontario for his Celebration of Life.
